In most cases, the most effective approach to creating a macro is the following hybrid approach:1. You can create macros by recording them from the Tecplot interface using the Macro Recorder, or create them from scratch using any ASCII text editor. These commands typically go hand in hand with the execution of a macro. To augment this ability, there are macro commands which have no corresponding interactive control, such as looping and conditional commands. The only things you can do interactively that cannot be done with macro commands are those actions that have no effect on a final, printed plot (such as resizing the Tecplot process window).
Macro commands can be used to accomplish virtually any task that can be done via the Tecplot interface, offering an easy way to automate Tecplot processes.
